National AUSTSWIM Awards Dinner 2010

The AUSTSWIM 30th Anniversary Dinner incorporating the 2009 National AUSTSWIM Awards, held at the striking Radisson Resort on Saturday the 4th of July 2009 proved to be a vast success amongst all who attended, with guests gathering from all walks of life to recognise the achievements and contribution made by AUSTSWIM, individuals, and recognised swim schools to the aquatic industry. Once again. AUSTSWIM would like to congratulate all nominees, and recipients of the 2009 National AUSTSWIM Awards and applaud you for the commitment and dedication you have displayed in your teaching endeavors.

For its 5th year running, AUSTSWIM is pleased to once again be hosting the 2010 National AUSTSWIM Awards Dinner:

The AUSTSWIM Award is the premier award presented to individuals in Australia that achieve the highest standards of aquatic education excellence.

National AUSTSWIM Award categories for 2010 are:

• 2010 National Most Outstanding Contribution to AUSTSWIM
• 2010 National AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
• 2010 National AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics
• 2010 National AUSTSWIM Teacher of People with a Disability
• 2010 National AUSTSWIM Presenter
• 2010 National AUSTSWIM Swimming and Water Safety School

To be eligible for an award the nominees must be able to demonstrate considerable experience and or knowledge in all areas of the selection criteria.

The awards committee then considered all nominations and ranked them in accordance with the information included in the application along with two written references. The following sections are addressed:

• Professional Development

• Leadership  

• References    

*Please note: Recipients of the State AUSTSWIM Awards are automatically nominated for a National AUSTSWIM award in their respective category.
