AUSTSWIM is the Australian Council for the Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety. It has industry representation in each state and territory of Australia. AUSTSWIM is a non-profit organisation. AUSTSWIM was established in 1979.
The AUSTSWIM Council comprises of an independent Chairperson, a Member Representative from each State and Territory Advisory Committees and from; Australian Leisure Facilities Alliance (Inc.) (ALFA); National Council of the Young Men's Christian Associations of Australia; (YMCA Australia), Royal Life Saving Society Australia (RLSSA), Swimming Australia Ltd (SAL), Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) and Water Safety New Zealand (WSNZ).
The AUSTSWIM Board is elected by the AUSTSWIM Council and is responsible for overseeing the organisational, financial and operational affairs of the Company.
