To renew your AUSTWIM Teacher Licence™ complete the following steps.
Step 1. Fill out the renewal form with your current personal details.
Step 2. Attach an endorsed passport size colour photograph of yourself.

Step 3. Estimate number of Professional Development hours.
A minimum of 10 hours is to be gained over the 3 year period. AUSTSWIM recognises that
there are vast amounts of professional development opportunities available that would
positively contribute to your experience as a teacher, some will be aquatic based and others
will not (eg childhood education subjects, communication strategies and legal studies).
Hours can be gained by attending aquatic education courses, conferences, seminars, in-
house training and other relevant training courses. All professional development must be
accredited or registered with AUSTSWIM. If in doubt please contact AUSTSWIM.
It is recommended professional development be undertaken during, not at the conclusion,
of your licence period.
Click here for a list of courses that are currently available. Each individual
course/qualification/workshop can only be claimed once in every 3 year period.
CPR does not contribute towards professional development as it is a separate
requirement of AUSTSWIM renewal.
Please note: You are not required to send in proof of attendance for professional
development unless requested to do so through an audit.
