How to enrol

In order to become an AUSTSWIM teacher, you will need to complete the Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate. This is the base qualification that you must gain before you can attempt any of the elective courses.

Step 1

Find out about course requirements.

 

Step 2

Find a course date and location you wish to attend.

 

Step 3

To book your chosen course from the course calendar you can either:

  • Enrol online
  • Download the enrolment form via the course calendar. Please ensure all sections are completed correctly. Fax or mail your enrolment form to us with enrolment fees enclosed.
You will need to have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer to be able to view these PDF files. Please note that PDF files make take a couple of minutes to download depending on your connection speed.

Step 4

When your enrolment has been received and processed, you will receive a confirmation letter in the mail. Please check all details (locations, times, dates) to ensure they are correct. A list of what you will need to bring to the course will also be included. If you chose to complete Part 1 via CD ROM, you will also receive the CD, a course manual, and a course resource folder.

 
AUSTSWIM advises that course details are subject to change and every attempt will be made to advise candidates. Updates can be found under the Find a Course link. In the event of the course being cancelled due to insufficient enrolments candidates will be offered a full refund or may elect to transfer to another course without penalty.

Congratulations to the nominees and winners of the 2008 National AUSTSWIM Awards announced on Saturday 12 July at the National Aquatic Education Conference in Adelaide, South Australia. 

The winners of the 2008 State awards will automatically been nominated for the National AUSTSWIM Awards to be announced in 2009.
